Tomorrow, gold medalist Jon Montgomery from team Canada will be attending the new openning of Extreme, a new IMAX film. Montgomery won the gold medal in the Olympics for men’s skeleton. . The film is a 45-minute documentary featuring world athletes. The film is for invitation-only on Thursday, but will be open to the public Friday.

There is finally a Margaritaville sign up!

I’ve mentioned this on numerous occasions… I found out 8 months ago or so that the old Wolfgang Puck’s was going to become a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. Then a month or two ago they formally announced it. I walk by almost every day, and couldn’t believe that there wasn’t a “coming soon” sign (or something like that). Well, today, they finally have one. It is in a terrible location, but at least they have something.

Condemnation for Hotel Niagara?

From the Niagara Gazette:

It appears as though the old Hotel Niagara is headed for condemnation.

City council members learned Monday that a recent inspection of the Rainbow Boulevard property revealed several areas of concern, including the lack of electricity, heat and an operational fire protection system inside the building.

Chief Code Enforcement Officer Dennis Virtuoso stopped short of saying the building would be condemned but said representatives from his office would pay a visit sometime today.
