On vacation, a little behind
I was on vacation and had meant to post some things, but stayed away from the computer mostly. Therefore, I’m way behind! I hope to be all caught up by the end of the week.

Go RVing Canada kicked off the RV vacation season at an exclusive press conference event hosted at The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC), in Niagara Falls, an all-time favorite RV camping destination for Canadians.
Go RVing Canada highlighted the increase in summer bookings in Ontario campgrounds, indicating that RV owners will be enjoying more vacation time within Canada this year. Go RVing Canada also emphasized the success of the Canadian RV industry, with RV shows & sales seeing impressive increases in attendance and sales figures across the board…
“Ontario Niagara Parks is about preserving a rich heritage, conserving natural wonders and inspiring people worldwide!” stated NPC Chair Fay Booker. “A great way to explore all that Ontario and Niagara Parks has to offer is by travelling in an RV. I want to thank Go RVing Canada for launching the season here in Niagara Parks, with the spectacular natural wonder of the Falls as our backdrop. I also want to thank them for their continued support in promoting tourism throughout Canada,” added Booker. “I invite everyone to come and be inspired by Niagara Parks this summer.”

You’ll have a howl at this family-first hotel

Call it a cruise ship on land.
The Great Wolf Lodge is unlike any other resort hotel in Canada, and one that despite being just a 10-minute drive from one of the greatest natural wonders of the world often compels guest to stay on-site for their entire vacation.
“Our mission statement is creating family traditions one family at a time,” explains Great Wolf Lodge GM Keith Simmonds.
“And this place is about family traditions. You do stuff with your kids.”
That “stuff” includes a 100,000 sq. ft indoor water park featuring 13 water slides, two giant hot tubs, a huge wave pool and a 500,000-litre lazy river.

I should have posted this before I left, but forgot, and just haven’t thought of it until now…
I’m in Kissimmee, FL right now. We drove down a week and a half ago and are staying in a house for a couple of weeks. We have a week to go. I’ll probably have some Niagara Falls-related postings for when I get back.

Shan’s Blog: Great Wolf Lodge
Someone with a Blogger blog has posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls and Great Wolf Lodge:
Last night, we spent a night away from home. We are on vacation this week and for our vacation, we wanted to go away, for at least one night.
Our decision? Great Wolf Lodge! This little magical place was the perfect solution to our need to get away, but for cheap, and for only an overnight (dog kennels cost a fortune these days!).

Lack of posting this week
In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t posted much this week. I’ve been off since Friday on vacation. I had planned on posting a few things during the week, but it just hasn’t happened. I’m just not at the computer very much.
Anyway, I won’t be posting much until next Tuesday or Wednesday. Of course, if I get any Sleep Cheap news, I’ll be sure to post it right away…
