New parking lot at Wyndham Garden
The parking lot on the south side of the new Wyndham Garden was recently paved. The web site says it is opening in April 2012, so if it isn’t open yet, it should be opening very soon.

Progress on the upside-down house on Oneida Lane
The upside-down house on Oneida Lane looks good. I know it is supposed to be an attraction, but I’m still not sure what you would do in it, and why anyone would pay to go in it.

Loretto development passes hurdle
From Niagara This Week:
A highrise development slated for the land along Stanley Avenue which is home to the former Loretto Academy has passed another hurdle — but not without conditions.
Council endorsed a staff recommendation to approve an application building form and zoning changes sought by backers of the project, provided they meet a series of conditions, including the province signing off on a Stage 4 Archeological Assessment of the property and completion of a microclimate study “to mitigate pedestrian level impacts on the Our Lady of Peace Chapel, located to the south of the property. As well, the proponents will need to execute a Section 37 agreement with the city for each of three buildings based on five per cent of the construction value — in this case $388,000 for streetscaping work. The proponents, as a part of the Section 37 agreement will need to include provisions to preserve and restore the Loretto Academy.
