Everyone loves Ontario’s Marineland
From the Toronto Sun:
“There’s a place I know in Ontario, where the sea lions kiss, so the story goes.
“Its amazing shows and Friendship Cove . . . everyone loves Marineland.”
Wait, there’s more:
“You’ll be spinning, diving and soaring high. Our roller-coaster ride will fly you to the sky. Now you know what you’ll say when you leave here today . . . everyone loves Marineland.”
Love or hate that commercial, it’s a sure sign of summer and sure catches the attention of kids.

Musical looking for some amazing kids
From the Niagara Falls Review:
It’s not amazing just yet, but Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat are getting warmed up.
The inaugural show at the city’s new Scotiabank Convention Centre starts May 30, and among the first steps is finding talented kids. Lots of them.
And as producer Linus Hand knows full well, that’s never easy. Some kids can sing, others can dance. But how many can sing, dance and act?

green tea and ice cream: niagara falls
Someone with a Blogger blog posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls (including a couple of pictures)
We decided to take the kids and Uncle Rick
to the falls on a rainy Saturday.
Unfortunately, the kids found them to be
a bit of a yawn and Graydon’s foot “hurt”.Miraculously, Graydon’s foot-ailment went into remission
when we arrived at the ultra-tacky Clifton Hill.
Sounds a bit like one of my sons

Niagara Falls – Bring lots of money
Someone with a WordPress blog has posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls:
“Bring lots of money”, that was my brother’s advice when I told him where we were going for our vacation. Turns out he knew what he was talking about. Despite finding clean, affordable accommodations within easy walking distance of the Falls, the biggest expense and surprise since arriving here is how much it costs to eat here. Thank goodness that breakfast is provided by the hotel. We have gone to a variety of places for lunch and dinner and with a few exceptions, the cost has been $25-$35 per adult. It’s a little cheaper for kids but not that much. There are lots of families for multiple kids in tow, I don’t know quite how they manage. Don’t get me wrong, service has been great, the food good but not outstanding.
