New Clifton Hill attraction is upside down
From the Niagara Falls Review:
For rent: Two bedroom, 1,200-square-foot house. Close to the casino and Clifton Hill. Plenty of parking. No pets allowed and tenant must be able to walk on their hands.
Welcome to the upside down world of Marek Cyran.
The 50-year-old man and his business partner, Adam Nielbvowicz, are building a house. The only problem is the whole construction project is upside down. Literally.
The two are building a new attraction near Clifton Hill that has people scratching their heads.

A Tropical Paradise Just North Of The Border
WGRZ Channel 2 in Buffalo has a feature (including video) about the Bird Kingdom:
Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is well known for its unusual attractions. But among them all, Bird Kingdom stands out as perhaps the most interesting and educational.
The world’s largest free-flying indoor aviary in the world, Bird Kingdom is home to over 400 birds, many of which are endangered or threatened in the wild. In an area full of gaudy tourist traps and souvenir shops, the Kingdom stands out like the beautiful plumage of its flocks of avian residents.
Just to be clear, Bird Kingdom is NOT on Clifton Hill.

Construction at Kelsey’s on Clifton Hill almost done.
I posted previously that Kelsey’s was undergoing renovations, and a sign on the door said it would open Feb 2. It didn’t open on the 2nd, but will open on the 10th. At one point the restaurant was gutted. It looks to be almost done and looks very nice.

BeaverTails snacks
I don’t know how long it has been there for, but a few weeks ago I noticed for the first time that there is a BeaverTails stand along Oneida Lane (just off Clifton Hill). It’s probably been there for a while, I just never noticed it. I rarely go down or look down that street.

The other day I noticed some steel structure taking shape at the end of Oneida Lane. You can see it both from Clifton Hill and Victoria Ave. Does anyone have any idea what it is?

Actors Dillon, Russell on set in N.F., Ont.
From Buffalo Business First:
“Healy” and “Snake Plissken” have been spotted along Clifton Hill.
Actors Matt Dillon and Kurt Russell are filming several scenes around Clifton Hill and other sites in Niagara Falls, Ont., all of which serve as the backdrop for the movie “The Black Mark”, which is being made in the Southern Ontario city during the next few weeks.
The movie, directed by Jonathan Sobol, is due to be released next year.
Filming began earlier this week.
