IN CONVERSATION WITH: Dino Fazio
From the Niagara Falls Review:
It’s a Wednesday afternoon a few days before Christmas and the last thing Dino Fazio wants to see is weather like this.
As winter begins, rain is pouring onto the outdoor skating rink built near the Table Rock building.
After seven years of heading up the Winter Festival of Lights, the 40-year-old Fazio knows weather is one of those elements he just has to roll with.
“When you’re involved in outdoor events, the one thing you can’t control is the weather. You’re always worried about it,” he said.

Christmas window art
A few years ago, it seemed that almost every store/attraction/restaurant in the Clifton Hill/Victoria Avenue area had Christmas-themed window paintings. I’m not sure what has happened, but this year and last year I think it was only the Ripley’s properties that did the paintings.

Niagara Falls Holiday Market Meets Half Its Goal For Visitors
From WGRZ Channel 2 in Buffalo:
When it opened on black Friday, organizers of the Holiday Market in Niagara Falls thought they could hit 400,000 visitors.
Now, it appears they will only get around half that. With four days before Christmas, an estimated 150,000 people have visited the market.
Despite that, the people behind the European style market say it is a success, and a big reason is out of town guests.

I’m going to be on vacation for the next week or so, and I’m not sure how much I’m going to be in the Falls. If anything exciting happens, be sure to let me know.
There may be a few postings that I get put up, as I’ve got a few almost ready. If not, I’ll be back to regular posting in early January.
