Due to a mild winter, the Maid of the Mist boat ride will be able to start operations a little early this season. The start date is scheduled to be April 10, 2010.Video – USA vs. Finland (fights), Canada vs. Slovakia (dives)
I'm very surprised how many of the teams have performed, so rather than predicting who wins and what the score will be, I will predict this: USA vs. Finland - Prediction: Fights, Canada vs. Slovakia - prediction: DivesPARTY IN THE PARK
From the Niagara Falls Review (includes pictures and videos):
When you put a rock band named after a mythical river next to one of the world’s legendary rivers, it’s a recipe for a soggy experience.
But thousands ot New Year’s Eve revellers rang in 2010 with the powerful rock band Styx, named after the mythological river in the underworld.

Hard Rock Cafe to ring in New Year with guitar drop
From AuburnPub.com:
New York City drops a crystal ball in Times Square on New Year’s Eve. In Niagara Falls, N.Y., 2010 will be ushered in with the dropping of a big guitar.
A 10-foot fiberglass guitar will be dropped at midnight at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Niagara Falls. The model of a Gibson electric guitar was raised atop an 80-foot-high scaffold on the restaurant earlier this week.

Earlier this week I was sent this by the Doubletree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton:
The City of Niagara Falls was selected as one of only 200 host celebrations communities across Canada for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Torch Relay.
On Sunday, December 20, the Olympic Flame passed in front of the Doubletree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton, with hundreds of spectators cheering it on. The longest Olympic Torch Relay to take place in a single country began its route in Victoria, British Columbia. The Olympic Flame will travel by land, air and water during its 106 day journey.
The Niagara Falls celebration coincided with the Doubletree Holiday Staff Party and presented the opportunity for team members to have their photo taken with the torch after the relay, and to view the special Olympic fireworks display from the event room hosting the staff party. One of the two relay runners who were guests at the Doubletree, included Hilton HHonors Diamond VIP member, Denzil Croning.
