Spring is in the air (for now)
I realize that we’re still near the beginning of March, but this weather is awesome. It’s supposed to stay well above freezing for the rest of the week. While I was walking through Queen Victoria Park I saw some crocus and daffodil shoots coming up.

Think of romantic Canadian cities and Niagara Falls likely tops many people’s lists. Not according to Amazon.ca. The online retailer this week declared Saskatoon as Canada’s most romantic community. WIVB Channel 4 in Buffalo had a report (including video) on an upcoming rally to try to save the NY State Parks system.
Wednesday in Albany, a rally to save the state parks from the budget ax.
Residents and state leaders will hold a rally to protest cuts in the governor’s budget, which could mean the closing of 90 state parks and historic sites statewide.
